Ride South Portugal is a small and friendly Portuguese company of rent-a-bike and bike holidays by and for the ones that love riding a bike.

Our mission
It’s simple! Provide you good time on the bike while enjoying underexplored places and magnificent landscapes in low traffic routes with a quality bike in good company.

Our priorities

You. We would like to meet you and get to know your preferences to find out what is more suitable for you. We truly care if you are enjoying and we do our best to make your bike holidays remarkable.

Quality of the bikes. We know how hard it is to go for a ride on a crappy bike. So, our rule is to ensure the quality of our bikes. They are recent (less than 2 years), intermediate models and well-cared for.

Quality of the service. We have a close communication with our customers. We also manage to help with the places to stay and to visit, providing the bikes and moving the luggage. At last, we are flexible with the schedule and try to make everything easier.

Best value for money. We focus on practicing fair prices. In our bike holidays we prefer to work with smaller groups and offer good quality rather than mixing in big groups that ends not being pleasant for anyone.

Safety. We can only enjoy the journey if we feel safe. In our plan we always look for the best roads and the ones with less traffic (that usually are the most beautiful ones!). Naturally, choosing a journey according to your level of expertise it is a major concern.

Fun. Why do you ride a bike? We really want that you enjoy riding a bike and get the most out of it. Nothing would make us feel more rewarded than your smile. That’s when we realize we had done a good job!

Our Story
Ride South Portugal was in César Brito’s (picture) dreams for a long time. He has been guide-tour in the last years and now decided to start his own business.

César has been passionate for bikes his whole life.

Competed in cross-country and downhill. But sooner he realized that the most important is to enjoy riding a bike rather than competing. It is simply to relish in the present moment of riding a bike and doing it in good company, getting to know places and cultures that otherwise would not know.

He felt that in Algarve the companies were more focused on rent-a-bike and it was missing an offer – the bike holidays. Not for professional cyclists or high level. Bike holidays for the ones that just like him, his friends and family enjoy having a good time riding a bike.

Like he usually says, “if I can live off something I like, it’s super”.

Now he is counting on some friends and family to boost this company and to create amazing moments on those who choose Ride South Portugal for bike holidays.

Our location
We are based in the center of Algarve, S. Brás de Alportel. Just 19kms from Faro Airport (FAO).
We operate in the mainly in Algarve region although we organize trips in Alentejo region and across the country (route N2) too.
